Exponent Bureau,August 1,Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir handicap association delegation under the presidentship of Kamal Verma met today director social welfare jammu, Vivek sharma to highlight their grievances affecting thousands of pensioners across the union territory. The association members put forth their grievances before the directorate that their pensions aren’t being disbursed regularly and the new cases sanctioned by the government are also not receiving their due pension.Apart from this the delegation also put certain other demands concerning the welfare of handicaps that are being extended by the government from time to time. Amidst the sloganeering, the delegates were holding various placards which included old ,young and numerous women to demand the disbursal of their due pensions. Director social welfare Jammu Vivek sharma herself came down to the protestors and gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured all possible help to the handicaps and solved their queries on spot so that these special people aren’t made to visit office repeatedly. The delegation had a praise of word for the prompt action of the director. Apart from this ,the delegations alleged that Administrator Auqaf Jammu Mudasir iqbal misbehaved with the handicappes including women when they visited the office of director social welfare Jammu for the redressal of their grievances. The administrator allegedly abused them, used abusive and unparliamentry language for visiting the Auqaf building where directorate is functioning.They further said that they have submitted a written complaint against the officer for abusing the handicappes and demanded strict action against him.The delegation was led by its president kamal verma along with hundreds of members of the association.
